Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
The Software
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
